The existing craft magazine market is dominated by publications that cater to an older demographic and often lack a refined or contemporary visual sensibility. Meanwhile, arts magazines frequently overlook craft altogether, and craft magazines tend to ignore the artistic depth of the work they feature.

Crafty was designed to redefine the visual language of craft publications by combining the sophistication of art magazines with the warmth and creativity of the crafting world. The visual identity is contemporary and expressive, layered, and colorful—inviting a millennial/gen z audience to see craft not as kitsch, but as a serious and inspiring form of artistic expression.
