Social good chocolate bars don’t always attract as much attention as more design- based chocolate brands. The goal was to catch the eye and quickly convey the cause the bar gives to, while not sacrificing on design appeal.

My design concept and illustrations bring the simplicity and warmth of the classroom to the front of the bar, making it immediately clear the benefit of purchasing a SchoolBar. The friendly illlustrations make the bar inviting, while the use of white space grounds the concept and elevates the simple classroom utensil main features. Scribbles from each writing implement act as accents for our school-based flavors.
The inside of the bar uses social proof to show the impact of our giving, with real drawings and messages from kids, and a “report card” on teachers and students helped.
